How is MY Manufacturing Year defined
From posts in this forum, I understand that MY2013 manufacturing year starts in April2012.
- Is this correct? - What is the reason that MYyear is so different from calendar year? - Is it the same for MY2012, that this started in April 2011? - With my Chassis number/ VIN number, is there a website where I can check MYyear? Thanks for the help. |

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle...ication_Number
The 10th digit in the VIN is the year. My 2011 X3 has a B in the 10th position. A 2012 X3 should have a C in the 10th position, and a 2013 X3 will have a D in that position. |
