2014 X3 35i Oil Cooler?

Can anyone who has had a 2014 X3 35i delivered already tell me if your car came with an oil cooler? Especially looking for feedback from those with M Sport, but all feedback is welcome.

I have seen pictures that suggest some do. Or, they did back in 2011. In the picture at the link below, you can clearly see the oil cooler behind the passenger side intake. I was thinking the oil cooler was installed because the X3 may be used for towing, not for tracking.

However, I am 99% sure the 2014 I saw on Saturday had a solid piece in that intake, just like on the driver's side, and I could not see an oil cooler through the grill in the passenger wheel well. I am just trying to get confirmation one way or the other. Thanks!

Well, I think I have my answer. It appears BMW is no longer using a separate oil cooler and is now using an oil/water heat exchanger instead. In the picture below of the N55 in a '14 X3 35i posted by another member, you can see the exchanger on the filter housing. This is disappointing, but better than nothing, I suppose.

In my 2013 35i M Sport, I do have the exchanger. I do not have the oil cooler in the lower grille.

I found something while searching around the interwebs that leads me to believe BMW stopped using the separate oil cooler sometime during the month of 08/12.

Not a big deal, but I would have preferred the separate oil cooler.

maybe its more efficient on the engine thus increasing mileage ... since BMW is constantly trying to be more efficiency to adhere to government regulations and customer choice

Probably for cost savings.
