Ya, I know, don't put on many kms here. Too/from work mainly, and occasional weekend short trip. I have been averaging only about 1200 kms per month for several years now. It is not the only vehicle in the house either, so sometimes take the other one for nastier jobs/days.

Had my X3 since March, about 8,000 miles, and so far zero problems. It is so comfortable to ride in, but so sporty to drive; big enough for stuff but not a Moby Dick. It's a great vehicle. Thank you Fedinand for suggesting this thread.
I just replaced my 2005 325 vert with a 2006 330. That was my only regret with the X3 transaction; I should not have traded in the vert. |

Having driven through our first two snowfalls of this winter, I think I love my X3 even more. The X3 combined with the blizzaks have to be the best winter driving car I have owned. My task this winter is to not get too over confident and to be wary of other drivers...the snow traction does give amazing peace of mind though!

New to this forum, just did PCD of 2012 X3 zDrive35i in Spartanburg 1/27/12. Big thanks to PCD instructors, especially Donnie and Andy!
760 miles so far, no issues whatsoever. Paint looks good, engine nice and powerful, did 25mpg on return trip to MD staying at 70-80mph on I81. Handling and ride comfort are out of this world! (and I am coming from 97M3 and 02 330CiC). I am amazed at the voice recognition capabilities of the new nav system. |

sunroof creaking
What was the problem with the sunroof? Mine seems to be creaking loudly when turning corners or if the car flexes going over a small curb, etc. Just picked up the car two days ago. Thinking I should take it to the dealer?

3000 miles (5000km) an not problems. I get to like it more everytime I drive it
If I want to play, it plays well. If I take it easy it'll do over 50mpg - far better than I expected. |

Only 1300 miles so far and I am thrilled with this car! Everything about it is better than I expected. No issues so far, plenty of power, very comfortable, holds a ton of stuff and doesn't look too shabby either. I've owned four BMWs over the years and this is the best one yet.

Best thing about this car is that it's like having 3 cars in one.
Sport - when you want a little pep and have the turbos spool up quickly Comfort - when you feel like just tooling around town but don't want to get beaten by a minivan off of a redlight Eco - when you want to know what hybrid owners feel like. My only complaint -- and it isn't a complaint -- is that the car (2013 28i) sort of sounds like a diesel when the engine is cold in the mornings. But such is life with direct injection. |

My sunroof is silent so far. You could take yours to the dealer and see what they say about the creaking sound. My car is now 1 year old with only 6,000km-ish to the odo.The only problem I have with the car is the driver's side window making a loud screeching noise when opening/closing. The dealer informed me they will replace the window lining and now is awaiting for parts. Everything else has been running great |

I've driven a truck for the last 10 years. 2 years ago I was ready for a smoother ride, so I upgraded to a Ford F250 Lariat with all the bells/whistles. Truly is a luxury truck. But - still a truck, and rides like one. I'm finding I don't like being the biggest vehicle on the road, and I feel really guilty for driving a 15mpg vehicle.
Three weeks ago I decided to trade in the truck for a small to mid-sized SUV/SAV. I test-drove 8 different makes/models, and all it took was one 15-minute test drive in a BMW X3 to make me fall in love with the ride. I could not believe it. For years I've heard, "BMW - The ultimate driving experience". Now I'm a believer. My 13-year-old daughter, who doesn't get excited about anything - loved it too. My new black X3 will be ready this Friday, and I can't wait to pick it up. I do think it will be hard to go from a truck (sitting up very high) to a smaller vehicle, but I'm thinking after a few days of driving the X3, I'll know I made the right choice. Thanks all for the posts here. |

Nice to see so many people having the same experiences with a great running vehicle. 1500 miles and working perfectly. Beautiful vehicle

2 weeks in, 375 miles on the clock and so far the best motoring decision I've ever made. Too early to lend weight to this thread in terms of reliability of course but I love the car so much I had to pitch in.
Not found anything I dislike yet. The heated mirrors could defrost a little quicker perhaps and if I had the option of speccing up a new one and could of afforded it, I'd have thrown in the winter and visibility packs, extended storage and maybe VDC. Would also like my music to go via Bluetooth but.. I got a fantastic deal from where I was car wise with the 330d e92 that I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. All being well I'd have another for my next car too in 3-4 years time. |

Got ours in May and just past 6000 miles... and its just perfect, my wife is unimpressed by every other car we have had but she loves this. And that is the only problem - seeing who gets to drive.
We had a great road trip to south of France and were bowled over the comfort, performance & economy all in one package!
