Got dings?
Happy new year everyone. I hope your 2012 is off to a better start than mine. I picked up our car this morning and noticed a nickel-sized ding on the rear lift-gate to the immediate left of the BMW logo. Can anyone recommend a place in/near Manhattan that specializes in removing dings from BMWs?

NYC Dentworks has been around for a while and has a good reputation. No firsthand experience however. They do "touch-up" work for many of the NYC BMW dealerships. IF the paint has not been damaged, it may be worth a try before doing a bondo and repaint job. |

I was washing my car yesterday (taking advantage of the strange 70F+ weather) and the hose had springiness in it from being coiled up. Long story short I lost control of the hose and it scratched the left rear door about 1" all the way through the paint.
I'm looking for a bodyshop in the Dallas / Waco / Austin area. Anyone know of a more generic forum for these sorts of recommendations? |

Here's the dent. Garage agreed to pay for the fix. Took it to BMW dealership. Quoted me $1,200 and four days. Think I'm going with Dentworks or Dent Doctor.

Sorry, I don't think either one will be able to pop that out. I've worked with couple different dent guys and while they can do miracles, I think your location is going to be a bondo job. If it were in a "flatter" sheet metal area they would have a better chance. Hope I'm wrong, but good luck with it.
