On a positive note, 150k +

Just wanted to report our 2015 28i is now at 154k without any major issues. It even has the original oil filter housing gasket, which I didn't know BMW could make one that lasted longer than 50k considering I'm on my 3rd one in my 1 series. Anyways, the only real repair was replacing a front wheel bearing that started making some noise around 120k. Thermostat was also replaced under warranty. Otherwise just regular maintenance (filters, plugs, etc.) and lots of oil changes, I use castrol 0-40 euro formula. ASS has been turned off since day 1. It's been a great car.

With work from home and federal tax credit, an X3/5 hybrid will probably replace it later this year.

150k miles with original valve cover and valve cover gasket is outstanding. If BMW doesn’t put too many plastic in their engine, their car might last longer than any Toy
