This is a joke, right?

What I mean is. What kind of question is "Help!"? You'd get a better reaction by posting a thoughtful question with information about what it is you are looking for in a vehicle, your expectations and what if anything you know about each that you like or dislike, so people could comment better.

+1 It would be my choice if the 335i version were available in the States.

I don't like 'station wagons'. I prefer SU(A)V or sedan/coupe body styles.

definately X3. Way more interior space and better cargo space and more comfortable. Give up marginal handling.

The 3GT is far more interesting to me than an X3. If it prices out like a 328i xDrive, it's a no brainer. If it had a hybrid drive train, it'd be even better.

Test drive both - horses for courses....

If I didn't have a small child (and trying for another), then I would have gone for a 5 Series Saloon. Actually we sort of did that: I have an X3, husband has a 5 Series Saloon. I like the X3 more than the 3 Series, but either you like an SUV or you don't.

Disagree. I've had an SUV the last 8 years. Like it fine. Doesn't mean a person can't like something else. The 3 series GT is supposed to be higher than a sedan. It's perfectly reasonable for those who don't require the wagon backend of an SUV.

I own a touring now (not the F31) and i´m in the market for a new one now, and after having tried out the X3 i´m sold.
Meets all my and my families needs.
Very comfortable indeed. The way the car changed when i vent to sport mode, also made me think i would not miss the touring to much.
