Paddle shifter replacement

I don't see the two holes on the steering column to release the airbag. What I do see however, are dimples in the sensatec(?) on either side of the column. Are these dimples just hiding the holes I need to use to release the airbag? I'm assuming using a sharp tool will just "puncture" the dimples?

I'd snap a pic but the dimples won't show up in the pic.

They aren't holes but perforations in the shape of a +. They're already loose so you don't need to cut them. When you put a tool in through there they fold back and over time will come down to appear closed.

Great, I assumed something along those lines. Appreciate the reply
