weird mirror design, or problem with mine?
Something odd I noticed with my new X3. When I put it in reverse, only the passenger side mirror rotates down, not the driver side one. In my old 3 series, both would. Is that normal? Also, for the side mirror fold in button, only the drivers side mirror folds in, not the passenger one. I kind of understand that, but in my old 3 series, both would fold in. Again, is this normal?

The passenger side mirror rotating down is normal because the feature is mainly used for parallel parking and parallel spots are only on the right side in the US.
However, having only your driver's side mirror fold in isn't normal, the mirror on both sides should fold in when you push the button. |

In NYC, our F25's have the super ablility to parallel park on both sides of the street.
