Owning X3 Update/Exterior mods (MFBMW)#004
Hello ALL,
So after a year of ownership what have i had to do to my car? Nothing just oil changes and lots of tires (see other post). I just got my 60k oil change (i do it every 10k). The Independent BMW Shop noticed a few things:
Also my X3 is white and i guess that is a common/popular color because i see everyone and their mom with one. So, i wanted to make mine standout so i bought the BMW gloss black grills (see images). Next i'm going to Plastidip the side mirrors and the wheels Glossy Black i will post pics once that is done. |

I've got 2011 Alpine White, here's what I did so far:
Changed the BMW badges with vinyl (works/lasts way better/longer than cheap badges) - replaced the blue with black. Replaced the front grills with the OEM gloss black. Replaced the side markers with Depo tinted side markers. Replaced the chrome X3 badge with black X3 badge. Things I'm going to do: Previous owner did a horrid job of plastidipping the wheels, so I'm going to sandblast and powder coat them. "Tint" the tails, going to leave the non-red areas left untinted. *Maybe* do a gloss c/f or black wrap on roof only. *Maybe* Eibach lowering springs, I just don't want to sacrifice the ride quality. I own a 2004 M3, which I put BC coilovers on,l and, well, going to go back to aspiring setup, koni yellows & eibachs I believe. -- That's about all I can see you can do before going to custom stuff. For me, I think after the few items I left above are done, I'm going to slap in a full BavAudio stage 1 speakers + sub upgrades in. |
Appreciate
