Halogen bulb upgrade?

My wife loves my X3 so much we just picked her up a brand-new 17 base X3. Only Thing we both don't like is that the headlights are standard halogens since we didn't get any bells and whistle packages and the fog lights look like LED. So the fogs are nice bright white while the headlights are old-school yellow. Want to upgrade the bulbs in the headlights was thinking about Sylvania ZXE which I've used before and were nice but a friend mentioned that I should try an LED upgrade bulb. Any feedback on this?
