Continental Sport Contact 6's??
Has anyone else's build come with the Sport Contact 6's instead of Michelins??
Was under the assumption that all builds come with Michelin. If so, how do the Conti's stack up against the Michelins? |

They are fine I wouldn't worry about it, they have beaten PS4S in some tests as the PS4S has beaten them, much of a muchness.
Two 2019 tests below came 1st in one and 3rd in another. http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article...-Tyre-Test.htm http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article...-Tyre-Test.htm My experience of CSC vs PS4S is the Continentals give a much better front end with faster steering response but the Michelins last longer and have more grip in wet/cooler conditions but that's across different M cars so perhaps not like for like.

Our X4M is on Conti’s. I had MPS4S on the 335d which were a huge improvement over the Goodyear runflats but didn’t quite give me the confidence to lean on them that I’d expected, demo X3M was on MPS4S and felt a bit twitchy, I think ours feels more planted on Conti’s tbh but it’s in no way a scientific experiment?!

Mine came with ContiSportContact 6 as well.
This is my first experience with ContiSportContact 6 (I've had MPSS on another car); so far it's been fine. Although I read somewhere the ContiSportContact 6's do wear quicker than the Michelin equivalent. Unless I see any sort of issue with the ContiSport 6's I don't see a reason to change to Michelin just because. |
