Making sure there will be room for the X3...
We were going to get either a mini cooper s or a gti to replace one of the 3 series. The criteria for the new car was it had to be significantly smaller, get better gas mileage, and still be fun to drive. It also had to be better in the snow than the 335i was with snow tires. We decided on the 4 door gti autobahn.
So far so good. It doesn't have the grunt of the 335, but it is pretty quick in every day driving, and I'm getting over 30 mpg on my daily commute. The dealer even swapped out the gti wheels/tires for a 17 inch set off of a passat and put on the snow tires on it off the 335. Now when the X3 gets here in a couple of weeks it will have plenty of room in the garage and a little brother waiting. |

Nice car. I traded my Candy White GTI for the new X3 as i needed more room for hockey gear. Did you get the DSG or the six speed manual? I found the ride on this car a lot more supple than the Mini Cooper S.

I got the DSG - love the transmission. I'll be looking forward to the after break-in redline party
