First test in the snow...passed with flying colors!

We had our first snow today and got around 4 inches with a nice layer of ice underneath. The X3 handled it beautifully - the traction control came on only a couple of times...this is on a day where there are cars sliding all over and accidents galore! This is as good as any winter driving vehicle I have had!

Winters on here but temp stubbornly 11C for weeks now! That said, the extra grip from Dunlop winters on damp cool roads is impressive. Sticks like a limpet. Fantastic!

I have BMW's compressor and flat tire kit....but more realistically, I'm calling BMW assist if i get a flat (replaced the run flats in both 3 series with non-funflats and have never had an issue yet....*knock on wood*).

I would highly recommend it if you live in an area that gets cold/snow. It pretty much lets you get wherever you need to go.

I had them on a x-trail las year. I'm a convert now. Already have my winter tyres ready and haven't got the car yet. Bought them in September before the rush . Once it snows the country will run out like last year.

Fedinand, maybe you should move to Canada : was near 60 degrees yesterday in Montreal. Played golf.

And is it me or does the snow really sticks to the X3?
