Cold weather = white sludge under oil cap?
I have an X3 35i. In weeks where it is around 0 F I have noted white sludge under oil cap. Does anyone else have this? I want to make sure it is not coolant loss but just unburned moisture in oil.

Coolant in the oil is not a good thing.

Yes I am not sure if it is coolant loss (still at max. but did not know level before) or unburned condensation in the engine from shorter trips in cool weather.
I was hoping someone could let me know if they had checked under their oil caps during the cold weather we recently had in north america. |

It is very normal and nothing at all to worry about. Every single winter, tons of people post the same thing, worried about coolant in their oil. It is just condensation from short trips. Take it for a drive for a half hour or so at highway speeds and it will clear up.
