I now found out that my car is likely sitting on the train, or in the yard in Vancouver where the "un-loading" crew is on strike, and management is trying to unload cars, but it's taking forever....jeez.

Shaw, i can't image your wait being much longer than most east coast deliveries. Probably only a couple days longer unless it has too clear customs. Last edited by Radioactive; 05-16-2011 at 08:22 PM.. |

They'll give me a close estimate on the arrival tomorrow...
I think for larger cities, you would get more loads coming so it may be faster... |

Shaw, mine sat up in Concord (Ont) for roughly 3 days after being dropped by the train, before being shipped down to my dealer.

It took about 6 days to ship it from SC to Toronto. My car then waited for 3 weeks in Toronto for a railcar that would come west. If you're in Toronto, things should be very fast indeed.

Just got feedback:
Handed over to Rail: today May 18th expected arrival May 30th... Honestly, their timing has been pretty upto schedule "so far"...(knock on wood) even at the time of sale they predicted end of May... so thing are coming into perspective now... However, comparing to jijioben's delivery (6 days to Toronto), mine is gonna be pretty loooooonger!!! (2 weeks) I wonder... |

My X3 was shipped on Norfolk Railway on May 12. Emailed the CA today and he said it is scheduled to arrive sometime the first week of June.
I didn't realized it took almost a month to ship across the country from what I know, and I'm not certain if this is totally correct but the train will take it to a prep center in Oxnard. Ca, then they will ship it by truck from there. Since it's been almost a week since it shipped, I imagine it will just be sitting in Oxnard for a couple weeks. |

usually they won't send off a truck with a couple of cars on it..the'll make sure the load is full. So for high traffic destinations, I assume it is more often... |
