Ordered car, conflicts with packages, NEED YOUR HELP ASAP.

Hey guys just placed my order last night and the dealer is telling me I can't order Cold Weather I and II and Driver Assist at the same time. Is this true? Why is that?

If that's the case can I order Cold Weather I and II along with heads up display and activate lane departure/collision/highbeams with coding?

The car was ordered with
M Sport
Technology
Dynamic Handling
Cold Weather I and II
Driver Assist
Premium
Premium Sound
Apple Apps
Hitch/Towing

anything I don't need to order (and can activate it later), or anything I should order that I already haven't?

Also was hoping to do a factory tour / pickup but was told it adds at least 2 weeks to the time and you have to be status 111 not 112 (which I am).

You help is greatly appreciated!

I am not sure what the problem is but when I tried adding driver assistance package with cold weather package 2 it would would not let me pick both so i opted for just cold weather package 1 and driver assistance. I would also get the 5300 dollar accessory wheels which are 20 inches and have black and silver rims. They look super cool on the car. My dealer told me the same thing for pdc delivery, because they only have a certain number of people everyday.

This so dumb ... what to do what to do?

Its going to be a winter car so maybe Cold I and II with headups as a standalone.

It might be the Dynamic Handling Package that causes the conflict because i could add all three without the Dynamic Handling Package it works even with the M package but i would also double check with your dealer and maybe call up bmw at their 1-800 number. Def get these

BMW M Double Spoke 310 Wheel and Tire Set

They look super cooll

The issue is the heated steering wheel (part of CW1) which is not compatible with the wheel used for the dynamic handling package.

I definately agree with you on the 310. I figured I would get the after the fact off of ebay or Tischer so I can choose my own tires, pay less, and use the MSport 19s and winter rims.

It's not the dynamic handling package cold weather is having issues with. Rather its the driver assist. Must be somthing with the vibrating wheel for the lane departure or something to that effect.

I really wanted all those features along with the heated wheel. What a bummer!

this is not true, as I have both Cold I with heated steering wheel and DHP.

But no driver assist? That would make sense. I've spent several days researching this topic few months ago. Look up my threads. The issue is that lane departure system has vibrating steering wheel. This is incompatible with heated M sport wheel.

faztaz,

I was making similar decision back in March. Here is the thread

http://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=672100

I decided to forego Cold Weather 2 and ordered Heated Seats and 40-20-40 split as separate options.

Correct, no drivers assist. I just set my mirrors correctly and voila, no blind spots.

Hey Alex I actually ended up doing the same as you. Unfortunately in my line of work sometimes I have crazy hours and I think lane departure/collision avoidance would be an extra security blanket. I will miss the heated wheel though. My E83 has it and I used it every winter. I wonder if we can retro fit it and/or the rear heated seats with just a button.
