Michelin Primacy 3 ZP on 2016 X3 M Sport

I picked up my X3 35 M Sport w/staggered 19's last Tuesday. I was mildly surprised that it came with the Michelin Primacy 3 ZP instead of Pirelli's. The michelins are listed as a grand touring summer tire while the Pirelli's are high performance summer tires. I am not necessarily complaining but am wondering if anyone has gotten the same tires and how are they working out. I'm sure the Michelins will last much longer than Pirelli's.

No, I haven`t, but I know that:
-all tires are rigorously tested before approval - by all manufacturers
-all tires are made according to spec/agreement between manufacturer and supplier.
I.e, if you buy a tire from an independent shop, you might get a slightly different tire - same looks.

The Michelins might have tiny weenie more life and less grip - but within the specification.

I've seen them with Pirelli Michelin and Goodyear ex factory

Don't think it is unusual for Original tyres to be sourced from more than one manufacturer
