F25 - Timing Chain - Malfunction details and Dealer Action.
Having searched all over the forums, there is a ton of info out there already.
To help those interested in gaining a better appreciation of the scope and subsequent BMW actions, I personally think it would be good to have some concise metrics as time marches on - in one spot. To that end, those that have suffered issues so far, it would be appreciated if you could share some detail, proposed as follows: 1. Vehicle Year/Model - 2015 F25 Xdrive 28i etc 2. Canada/US/Or? 3. Production date: 4. Mileage at time of incident: 5. In Warranty/CPO coverage/Out of Warranty: 6. What happened/Extent of Damage: 7. Dealer Action: 8. Remarks: Cheers, Bilbofraggins "2015 F25 x28i owner currently in a CPO period till Nov 2020, hoping better half manages to grenade the vehicle in the months ahead.
