Black Nevada Leather with Light Wood Trim
Does anyone here who has this set up in their car, have a picture they can share? Now that it seems any trim is available to choose from, I may opt for this if I can see a real user's image(s) because the BMW site doesn't depict a real pic.

I don't have a picture, but I've seen it on a demo model. I think it looked better online than it did in person.

Have seen the light wood, but prefer the dark wood, and have ordered dark.

My favourite combo is Havana (Mojave) Nevada with Light Wood.
In case of Black Nevada, I would still prefer Light Wood or Aluminum silver. These two trims make more contrast in combination with dark seats, and while wood gives more warmth, silver gives more hi-tech feeling. Dark wood on darker seats with black dashboard is not appealing to me. Feels heavy and dead. Trying to match 3 similar things and patterns is just too much. |

I have Black Nevada with Fineline Siena (I assume it is light wood). I am taking a few interior pictures but I must say beforehand that I really love it. The configurator makes it look too bright, but that is not what happens in real life. The same can be said about dark wood - it looks way too dark but when seen in person is really good and textured. Both are excellent colors but I went for light because both the exterior and the interior are black so the fineline brightens the environment just enough to make it appealing while still plush.

I have been going back and forth on this one for my order. I am sure my dealer wants to kill me. The black leather for me is a given.
First, the aluminum is interesting if you are looking for that machine aesthetic. It looks like an old Nikon or Leica camera, which for sure, is cool. But for me, its too cold. So, now to warm up the interior, I am going for the wood. The dark wood is great but my 3 series has dark wood and I just want the change. Sometimes I feel like I need a smoking jacket to go with it. I like the contrast and I think the light wood color compliments and brightens the cabin. Motor trend has some photos online of the black nevada with the light wood on their website. My 2 cents and to each his own so, good luck. |

I was on the fence on this topic as well. I couldn't find a dealership that had samples of the dark wood to show me, but it did look good online. I have seen the light wood with black leather and I didn't care for it. The contrast was too great and the edges of the where the wood is cut stands out too much.
So, I ordered the dark wood and kept stopping by dealerships in the hopes of seeing this color against black leather. I found several examples this week and I really didn't care for the grain pattern in the wood. The color was fine, but he striping is quite pronounced. In the end I changed my trip to the aluminum. I was worried about denting the aluminum or I would have chosen this look originally. I thought the lesser of 2 evils was the aluminum. I wish there were more wood options to chose from. BMW certainly went with 2 extremes in the X3. All opinions of course, so no offense to anyone that ordered the darker wood. I can see where one would like it, but it wasn't for me. |

Personally, I think the light wood trim looks the best b/w the other wood trim, but BMW really messed up with the design for both wood trims.
I am sticking to the brushed aluminum, given the black leather meshes well with it. I think I am set now. |

Went with Black Leather + Brushed Alum, which is still pending approval as for some reason the Brush Alum is now only a part of the Prem Pkg, unlike yesterday where any trim was avail, sans Prem Pkg.

I have Black Nevada leather with the Fineline Siena Wood (light wood). Exterior color is Alpine White. I personally love the contrast of the black with the light wood. I considered getting the dark wood, but I thought the interior had too dark of a feeling overall with that combination. I highly recommend the light wood. I will try to upload some pictures, but as another member mentioned, it is best to try and see it in person. I know a lot of the black 28i demos the dealers received here in SoCal had black interior with the light wood.

Looks much better than I would have guessed. I ave the darker, which I like, but wouldn't mind the above at all.
