Nice job, this is a huge improvement over the current x3 imo. The only thing missing is the detail over the lower air intakes, those are sure to be silver. Probably similar to the middle section. It seems most models are getting some sort of silver highlight on the lower air intakes.

Headlight detailing is too dated compared to modern standards, and the bumper is too plain. Great rendering skills as usual though.

I'm sure the actual product will turn out alright, but it won't surprise anyone.

why does it look like Michael Myers driving this new model X3 searching for victims to slice up with his chainsaw that he has in the back of this new X3.
but excellent job on the photoshop

Nice render, but it looks a little too Acura-esque for me. The old X3 design is certainly more unique

If this turns out to be accurate I don't understand the cut line of the hood. The direction BMW seems to be taking with new models like the 7, 5, Z4, 5GT and X1, is the cut line for the hood being higher up over the kidney grills, not right on top of them as in the past.

I don't understand why they wouldn't carry this design language over to the X3. That front end looks dated compared to the new model designs.

that old blue rendering

Seems to me that old Autoweek blue x3 render was almost spot on .Not exactly but pretty close. Have a look.

really, it looks more like hyundai santa fe to me ... it's really, really ugly ...

for sure it will not look like this. it's nowhere in the new bmw line of design. A friend from the BMW factory in Regensburg told me that it will look more than actual x5 ... he is not allowed to give me any details,...

If you look at the spy picture where I based this rendering from, the car is hardly covered up. There was very little interpretation required to come up with the rendering. In addition, the BMW insider actually confirmed that this is 98% accurate.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Pontiac!

The front looks more pontiac than a BMW...

The original X3 (pre LCI) was terrible. This looks just as bad.

The X1 looks better than this...

Looks aside, I leased an X3 for 2 years and it drives far better than any American SUV I know of, far better in the SNOW especially.

I was pleasantly surprised at what a hit the current one is. I see them everywhere.... my brother in-law and his wife even picked up a new 2010 and they love it.

BMW really carved a nice niche in this market and if the price point is as great as the current expect to see droves of them again.

It's ugly as shit. Looks like something Korean, as others have said. It fits nowhere in the lineup now, this design is hideous.

I think that we'll see something a little bit different to headlights when the car will be released...
Otherwise they've done a very bad looking car... and I don't understand the reason..

Yeah, I was wondering the same, how can something "looks more than" the X5 than the actual X5 itself???

I'm a bit confused, isn't your brother in-law's wife your sister? I know, I know..

Good point, it makes me question his whole story. Maybe they didn't really buy one, maybe they don't really love it, maybe he doesn't really see them everywhere! The credibility is really out the window if you ask me...
