Traction Control Switch location

Curious if anyone has, by accident been turning off the TC, while reaching for their coffee. I have done so 3-4 times and so I was wondering if others are doing the same. If so it seems the position of the TC switch is in a poor location (design flaw). Otherwise I must consider the alternative, that I am clumsy

LOL... Dont know if the location on my 2011 is same as the 2014, but when I first bought the wife the X3 I explained where the DSC switch was, and she was all scared of possibly turning if off by accident... because of what happened one day when I had the DSC off in my M5.

But dont you need to depress the switch for a few seconds, a quick hit of the button wont turn it off right?

there are different modes of DSC, pushing the button only reduced it by a certain lever; you do indeed have to press and hold a few second to turn it off..

System is still active to a certain extent regardless of the modes selected. The car still remains fairly planted unless probably at the most extreme of situations. I believe at "fully off", it reactivates when you get on the brake.
