Paint Protection Film - Southeast VA

Has anyone in southeast VA had paint protection film applied to their X3? I am interested in your feedback on the different brands of film and local installers. Thanks!

I don't live in your area, but I installed 3M paint protection film on my 2013 X3.

If your confused on which film to get, check out this link.
It's a scuff test on a few major brands.

Good Luck.

Great video BMRu4ia.

I paid for the 3M lets hope I got it.

I can see a very slight yellowish tinge of the 3M against the AW of my car.

It should be pretty clear. Before I pull it off the backing before installation, it is clear and the white paper backing underneath does not show to have any tint of color through the film.

Hmm perhaps the film is old stock?

I'll search around and let you know if I find anything. ing...

I am taking delivery of my X3 today. Do I have to wait a certain amount of time to cure before having the film applied? 3M's website was a little vague in answering that in their FAQ section.

I did the research too. As long as it's factory paint it's fine. I applied Opti-Coat ( permanent clear coat) on mine after 1 week of delivery and the 3M paint film a week after.

The sooner it's on, the sooner you can drive it without the fear of rock chips.
