Swap 5A4 LED Headlights for S552 Adaptive Headlights

Has anyone ever embarked on trying to swap to Adaptive/Icon headlights? I'm not too concerned with EU coding or adaptive functions, this would be for aesthetics so just standard low beam, high beam and turn signal functionality. Looks like a pair of Icons can be purchased for about $1500, so this is a much more reasonable upgrade than when I went down this rabbit hole for my F80.

Just out of curiosity, where can you purchase a pair of adaptive LED headlights for the X3 for $1,500? I heard they cost $3,000 each.

Lots of options one Ebay for $600-800 per side.
