I have a 2019 X3 30i and just purchased the roof rack base support rails (haven't picked them up yet). I will be using them primarily for hauling two trail bikes. What bike roof rack system do you recommend with the OEM base system? The OEM bike rack? Just looking at it I don't think I like the strap that goes around the frame. Looks like it would be cumbersome to operate when the bike is on the roof.

One system that I think looks promising is the Thule ProRide 598 but I'm not sure how it attaches to the OEM base. Looks like it slides into the slot on the Thule base. Does it attach the same way on the OEM base?
