UK tyre on delivery questions

For those lucky people who now have an F25 in the UK, could you feedback the following please: make and size of tyre delivered and whether runflats? I am swithering on choices here and note that tyre heroes Black circles don't even offer runflats in the size of my current spec (225/60 R17 99H). Their only premium tyre in this size are Continental Cross Contact Lx at £170 each. Thanks.

I thought all the tyres on the uk x3 were run flats. I don't mind them at all. They last far longer than a standard tyre. Had a 3 series with run flats before the x3 and only needed to change the tyres at 18000 miles. IMO michelins are the best but the continentals have been good on the x3 so far and they have lasted well on the wife's mini for the past 12 months.

Continentals on my Merc were rubbish in terms of grip below about 7'C. My current Pirellis are much better I found for rear wheel drive. So another vote for runflats from you. Quite a turn around on comments a few years back.

Black Circles describe the SC3 as a "summer tyre" "not intended for sub zero temps on icy and snow covered roads". Is this right? Sounds an odd choice if so to given you on an X3 in Scotland.

Sounds right enough. I had no choice on the tyre I could get with the 19"s. They may have changed this since I ordered last summer but don't know. Thought I read a post on here saying USA buyers could specify a 'all weather tyre' now. I might invest in a set of winter tyres next winter but we'll see.
