Hi, Just purchased and tried out the Snap-in for Iphone6 part number 84212407464 (27.10.2015). I've assumed its good for a 6s.
Bluetooth telephone seems ok and charging ok.

Problem I'm having is getting it to play audio from my iphone library. I can browse and select tracks ok, but they don't start playing.

(It sort of connects to my Dezzer app which I can control from the idrive, but the sound comes out of the phone).

I'm on software update MX-3.5.4 and TX-3.5.8 and bmw/update doesn't seem to be suggesting anything later, even though it seems to be for IOS6.

Car is MY 2011 with full Bluetooth and app integration and all works OK with the iPhone 4s Snap-in.

Any ideas welcome, thanks.

Hey , I'm having the same issue. Did you get yours to work and play through the speakers?

Has anybody gotten this snap-in adapter, part #84212407464, to work in a MY 2011 or 2012 (I have a 2011 35i)? I recently got the adapter, and I can't get any audio from it (not only with music on the iPhone, but also via apps like Stitcher). It also says there is no PlugIn compatible device connected despite the iPhone being inserted into the adapter and apps being controllable via the head unit.

I'm concerned that this adapter might not be designed to work in any BMW prior to MY 2013. If you go to the following page, and click on this adapter, there are no options for selecting a year prior to 2013.

I've been to the dealer once so far, and they were not able to get it to work. I will try swapping it out for a different one, and try a different iPhone as well, to make sure my problem isn't related to a bad adapter or a phone-specific issue.

Hi, I came to the conclusion that this snap-in is not compatible and/or would need a software update which BMW have chosen not to make available for our MY. I got a refund and have ordered a Mercedes-AMG GLC 43.

You returned a car because a audio/apps adapter didn't work?
WoW - i wish i had your financial clout :-)

I reality it means your adapter and phone are not completely compatible with your X3.
Car audio systems never keep up with modern computing/phones.
I look forward to the day there is a standard that all manufacturers will adhere to

Hi, I returned the adaptor. The change of car is attributed to a number of these small niggles coming along at once, plus I want to go back to a petrol motor.
