iPhone 6 friendly?
I've got a 2011 x3 35i with all the infotainment available at the time and want to know if the iPhone 6 will work.
Anyone have an iPhone 6 with their x3? Is it all (Bluetooth, Apps, etc.) working well or are there issues? Thanks in advance. Tory |

I have a 2013 with all options and the 6 works great. In fact it's the first time I was able to get BT stream working and have removed my cradle.

Since upgrading to my iPhone 6, I noticed that regular text messages no longer appear but that may be because I had notifications off--this was default when I paired the new phone--in my IOS BT settings and incoming audio on a phone call was extremely buzzy. I have the latest BT 1006 update on the car and the latest IOS so I'm completely stumped on the audio piece. Streaming BT sounded fine so it is isolated to phone calls...

I've noticed that text doesn't work on my new phone either, or voice commands, on my 2015. There was one phone call where it blanked out for me for a short time a couple times, and the other side reported buzzing.
Phone (6)? IOS8? Need updated software in the car? |

I have found that when migrating to my iPhone 6 (from an iPhone 5), it is better to set it up as a new phone and re-install all your apps rather than restore from a backup. I had serious BT audio issues on phone calls when I first paired my 6 where the audio coming through the speakers was extremely buzzy/distorted. After I restored the phone back to factory state and started fresh the audio issues went away. Not sure if it would be the same for outgoing audio but I definitely think it's worth a shot. My SMS notifications issue that I wrote about earlier was just because I didn't realize that new BT pairings default to notifications=off.
