Anyone hauling babies/kids/toys with the new X3?

Hello all,

We are looking at the new X3 as a possible upgrade for multiple kids. Just wondering if anyone can post some pics of multiple car seat setups in the 2011 X3?

We currently use a Recaro ProRIDE seat for my daughter. Just wondering how much room is in the rear with another car seat?

Also, how much room is in the front with a rear facing baby seat in the back?

We have been crossing shopping other SUV's and it seems like nothing has enough room for a rear facing seat behind the driver/passenger...

If anyone has time to take/post pics, it would be much appreciated.

As far as hauling toys, any word on the trailer hitch availability from BMW?

I would be towing motorcycles and wanted to see if the X3 could handle these duties. I see many different ratings for this, what is the max weight an X3 can tow?

Thank you,

Josh

There is still no factory tow hitch, but there are two after-market options available.

I have multiple kids but Mrs Max3 wouldn't let me upgrade them for an X3.

I have 2 car seats in the back. One booster seat for a large 4 year old, one full size car seat for a 2 year old. Both of my boys are pretty big for their age, and there is plenty of room for the two seats and all their toys in the back. That is the main reason why I upgraded from a 3 series to the 2011 x3, and it has been great :-D

Thanks!

How much room is between them and the front seats? Can you post any pics?

BMW Oz just sent me out a flyer on the newly available factory tow bar / ball.
I binned it but at least it is available.
