how long does the train take from SC to CA?

The departing estimate was 15 days. However, the website had just changed over to vehicle at VPC. Am wondering if my rig made it to Oxnard early.

How long has it taken others to get from SC to Oxnard via the train?

Have emailed the dealer but they aren't responding (they are probably out selling cars and not responding to my fanatical status request).

Thanks.

My status went to VPC the day the car got on the train. So I dont think it is there. The dealer can get an arrival date once it is on the train. I have an arrival date of Aug 15 into Oxnard. My travel time on train will have been just under 3 weeks.

Your dealer should be able to help you. They have the info.

So there is no relationship between the website and reality at this point...

I figured as much. My ETA is 15 days of train time. Am curious if it ever arrives early.

VPC for the X3 is in SC not Oxnard. Takes about 2-3 weeks to make it to Oxnard and probably another week to dealer.

interesting, the dealer printout from dealerspeed shows two VPC steps. One in SC and another in Oxnard.

Should I expect the 800 number to be more reliable than the web page then?

(web page still lists my car as 'started production', while the 800 number says production complete -- waiting to release to carrier)
