Hello All,

New to the forum. I recently had a BMW service center (long story why I took the car there) tap and rethread my oil pan and install a new 14mm drain bolt. However, they noted that it may not hold for the next oil change and that a new oil pan may be required.

Does anyone know of any alternative drain plugs that could be used if the current one doesn't hold? I don't want to be a cheapskate, but would obviously prefer not to replace the oil pan if avoidable.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.
