BMW list a retrofit reversing camera, details can be seen here:

It lists many yes/no options for the existing equipment in the car, but if you scroll down the kit part number actually always stays the same..

My local dealer is telling me that this kit can not be fitted to my car because it doesn't have navigation fitted (but it does have PDC).

Can anyone tell me if this is possible? or if the dealer is right?

If you build a car on the BMW car configurator, you don't need Sat Nav to have the reverse camera, i would ask a second dealer if it can be fitted to your car.

I just checked at the dealer here in Norway. I have the Pro Nav and PDC and it is possible to retrofit, but it is pricey... NOK 10000 (1800US) for the equipment and the same for the mounting (8 hrs work)..

Ordering with the car is about NOK 5000 (900US)..

Anyone got a price from the dealer yet?

I have already dented my rear bumper, so I really want it!
