spark plugs

I replaced my spark plugs about 30k miles ago in my 2012 X3 35i (around 80k miles), I'm at 110k right now . Am i due for another change? or is it every 50k miles?

Thanks

Depends what you look at. I usually change mine initially at the 60k mark then again at 100k and have never owned a vehicle much passed that to pass it again. As easy it is to change them in these cars I would do it if I were at you’re mileage

Edit: misread your post. You changed plugs 30k miles ago I would not change them again. Coils if original would be about time

Stock engine; every 60k miles / 100,000km unless you have issues with a misfire.

Tuned engine; depends on the tune but 30-40k miles as a starting point.

If the ignition coils are original then consider changing those soon, they will be near the end of their life.

so changed the spark plugs 30k miles ago so they should be fine, but the coils i didn't touch. I have a some hiccups at idle and wonder if this is related to spark plugs or coils.. its not bad, but it happens here and there...

I replaced coils at 60k with eldor when I did ngk plugs. I would probably go with coils...your plugs should be fine with only 30k on them.

Where did you purchase the coils? was it directly from BMW?

FCP Euro is hard to beat. I did my coils recently and it took care of idle hiccups with plugs replaced a few thousand km earlier.

Go with Delphi since they're the OEM supplier. BMW used to use Bosch but switched to Delphi after some issues. GN10571 is the Delphi part number.

No, Eldor are the newest and best designed coils for the N55. Better than Delphi

https://www.ebay.com/itm/6x-BMW-Igni...-/152335261416

12138657273 is the newest version. Go with these. I monitored via torque for any misfire counts on any cylinder after the change and it was zero across the board.

Delphi, but Eldor is fine too.

Eldor superseded Delphi which superseded Bosch.
