Drivetrain Error 3.0d

I've seen other threads but mostly from the USA.
Has any 2.0d or 3.0d Diesel drivers experienced- Drivetrain, Drive Moderately.

Just come back from 10 days holiday, and my wife took the X3 out for a local drop off, when she was driving back she got the dreaded Drivetrain- Drive Moderately. She said the engine stuttered for a few seconds, and then got the message. The message cleared on it's own, and all seems ok now.

Is it just lack of use- and I should ignore it. Or is a visit to the dealer required? I've got to drive 120 miles round trip tomorrow so I'm a little nervous. Glad I got the extended warranty package!

Was it cold in your area? Was the fuel tank full?

If your answers are 'yes' and 'no,' it have just been water in the fuel that worked its way to the engine. Once its gone, the issue can go away totally and never come back.
