Thanks.

According to dealer, module (did not indicate which one) went out. The switch is built into the DS hood latch.

Same issue

I'm having the same issue the hood open light is on even though the hood is closed. I sprayed the latch mechanism on both sides with some silicone lubricant when I was adding windshield fluid, I wonder if it messed up the sensor.
Has anyone taken it apart and fixed it? I cannot see where the actual switch is to blow it out with compressed air.

Solution to my issue was replacement of hood latch and new wire installed from under dash to latch.

It's located on the driver side latch. The loop/latch may not be making good contact to the latch that has the sensor under it.

Yes, the switch is located on the driver side lower latch.
Does anyone have instructions on how to remove the latch assembly to inspect the switch? The latch is held by two screws but how do you get the latch assembly out to inspect the electrical switch? even if you take the headlight out you may not be able to access it as it is boxed in by the mounting bracket.
Any ideas?
