need opinion on more aggressive wheel/tire combo
getting ready to purchase new wheels and tires. Looking for a more aggressive look than the recommended sizes in 20in. the online tire configurator shows this setup as possibly working.
looking at 20x9 front, 20x10.5 rear tire sizes: 255/40/20 front, 295/35/20 rear anyone running these sizes? how about if I also lower it slightly with Eibach springs?

I'm not sure about the rears but the fronts should work. The biggest wheels that BMW makes that fits the x3 is the 599M wheels or 310M wheels with the following specs 8.5x21 ET:42 fronts, 10x21 ET:51 rears.

may not get BMW wheels. I'm looking for 9 front and 10.5 rears in 20in. They don't make them that would fit the X3. Elementwheels.com has them.
also found the michelin pilot sport AS/3 in that size at tirerack.com would be nice to get everything from the same place so they can mount them, balance them as well as install new TPM sensors.

elementwheels.com offers a few options; staggered and non-staggered. I'm thinking about going with a staggered set in 20x9, 20x10.5. something like this...
http://www.elementwheels.com/proddet...silgf620105sil I may, however, need to purchase the tires from tirerack.com since element does not offer a pair in 255/40/20 front, 295/35/20 rear. tirerack.com has the Michelin pilot sport A/S plus all seasons in those sizes. another handy tire configurator. http://tire-size-conversion.com/tire-size-comparison/
