Traction control questions

Ok, other than just to try it out/have fun, has anyone found a reason to turn off traction control or go into Sport+ mode? Ifso, what conditions? Also for the folks that went to the PDC, did they talk about traction control? Seems like it would only work under power or increasing power - so, if you go into a turn hotter than expected or slippery, are you better off just adding gas (petrol) and letting the traction control do the rest or what?

Control traction off it is very important in a winter times. If your car is stuck in the snow and will want to accelerate, the control traction will cut off the gas.

Good info. Any other times? How about running too hot into a curve ( maybe slippery too)?

When it rains or the roads are wet and I'm feeling frisky I turn off the t/c and it allows for a good bit of oversteer. I can probably get the back end out about 15-20 degrees before it intervenes. With t/c activated you can't get the back end to step out at all.
