There was a similar topic on a LR forum I used to frequent and it gave tips for things that you may not even know.

I will start the ball rolling with the following:-

If you want to head home you do not need to input the destination on the satnav or even select home from the menu's. Press the voice activation button and say "Take me home" and provided you have the home destination set the satnav automatically kicks in, sweet.....

I suppose it is all down to how much you use the sat nav and voice control. I use this one every time we are out touring. I always use the send to car in google maps facility when I know where we are going the next day, and pick up the message when we get in the car the next morning.

I never use NAV in the car - i think the only time i would use it is if i went somewhere in the USA lol

Funny, wife.com found this feature yesterday. She hit the button on the steering wheel..and it gave her examples of commands (split screen?) etc. Kind of cool

I don't drive her cars often but it is appreciated in L.A. traffic.

It is recommended not to put your home address into the Nav, but instead to put an address NEAR your home. that way, if the vehicle is stolen, they don't drive directly to your home and use the garage door opener to enter your home. Just a tip

Chances are it's on the vehicle registration anyway though, unless you're in law enforcement, etc.
