Let's hope it doesn't get as long as that one!

Official word in from BMW UK which directly contradicts what others have said here "a gauge displayed on the dash board which lights up blue and red. *This gauge is what I believe to be a Efficient Dynamics gauge and this is standard throughout the BMW X3 range."

Can anyone who has a UK spec F25 X3 without nav confirm the above or contradict it? Thanks.*

See 6NR thread for credibility of BMW UK. Non-existent. Bunch of morons IMO

You'll need it confirmed by someone who actually has the car without pro sat nav. Dont trust anything they tell you at BMW UK

Calling all new non-pro nav X3 F25 owners. Can anyone solve this once and for all?

I can confirm that on the test car I drove that had just standard 6.6 screen and standard sat nav, the dash did not show anything about EngineDynamics.

I have business nav and the mpg dial is analogue. The LCD display showing the trip computer also shows radio station information or track names playing off my iPhone via the USB cable. The dials on business nav are absolutely fine as is the size of the nav screen.

So ScotX3 you don't have the red / blue Energy Recovery bars either on your mpg gauge? Further evidence Sfax was right all along & BMW and their brochure wrong. False advertising is a serious matter, especially when you keep promoting a false claim.

Just configure a car with and without pro nav on BMW configuration site and you can see for yourself the different in the instrument cluster. How difficult could it be!!!

Perto - if you read the brochure or ask BMW about this as above they say their configuration site is wrong. There are dozens of examples of the configurator being wrong on this and other threads so it really is not simple at all, hence interest in finding what an actual car really contains.

Yep seen it. BMW have twice confirmed in writing that all X3s now have the gauge, hence my question. The UK brochure also shows a standard dash with the gauge hence my interest in what customers are actually getting.

I understand your concerns, changed to pro nav partly due to different instruments.

I'm with you on this. I'll be pointing to the brochure when I collect my X3 next month. I wouldn't trust anything the dealer since, after all my dealer thinks the X3 is still manufactured in Austria.

Have not logged this as a brochure error yet on that thread as awaiting further news but that thread is worth watching. You just don't expect BMW to get so much of their info so wrong. I will also be complaining if I don't get what I ordered as I have never seen this scale of errors and bought around a dozen new cars in my time.

These troubles are common with cars which have just come out. There are not enough infos, dealers know nothing and are generally not much interested in finding out more then what they need to sell a car to an odinary customer. This is why i have read hundreds of threads and watched thousands pics before making up my mind about all details of my order

+1 Don't rely on the dealers to get anything right. Research and double-check everything yourself.

Also for UK readers, don't rely on any information from the muppets at BMW UK. They're even worse.

Always satify yourself with what you order, but this is hard when even the dealers do not know the spec's of their own options you can order.
