Leather seat issue on X3

Anyone have issues with their leather seats being this way at delivery? bMw is saying that's natural and that's not covered under warranty. It's what happens when you buy a natural product (leather).

Just wanting to gauge if I'm alone here...

I don't think I've ever seen that on any car that didn't have something like a child seat there for a long time.

I can't say what you can or can't get them to do but if nothing else I'd definitely be a little mad about it. We're not talking a 10 year old car, we're talking about new at delivery, that's the kind of thing that should not gotten out of the factory to start with.

If the dealer won't do something I think I'd escalate it to BMW NA and get another opinion (even though it may be the same) from higher up.

Apparently BMW NA is also saying it's just sort of a natural product and they won't fix it

I know. I've been on twitter trying to get BMW's attention. If anyone want to share / re-tweet and spread the words - @kcleuk

Has BMW NA seen pictures or just a description? Pics might tell a different story. Be sure to get them in good side light exaggerating it a bit

Honestly though it isn't a big deal if nothing happens.

Wrong forum.

But it just seems like it stretched a little because something heavy poked on it. Stretch it out and it should be ok. Seems normal

Garage List
Id say throw some leather conditioner on it and sit in the seat regularly and it should break in and go away.

Good luck sorry to hear BMW wont fix it!
