I am really enjoying the X3 35i MSport. It is a great combo of fun to drive, great looks and practicality. Works for me.

As an aside, I have always admined the X5M. But, although it does 0-60 in 4.5 secs, it eats gas, costs about twice what my X3 cost and offers little extra passenger/cargo room. So, the 35i MSport looks about as good (imo), uses far less fuel, costs about 1/2 an X5M and is 1000 pounds lighter. What's not to like? Oh, and like the real "M" cars, it has the beefy steering wheel that feels so good in your hands. And now, that wheel is heated for winter.

I think the X3, configured properly, is a real winner..!!

I have the same perspective as you. I love the X5M, but with the way the X3 Msport looks, drives, feels, and the price make it a pure winner in my book. If I had the money of course I would get the X5M, but the X3 is 80% of the bigger one and a fraction of the price. Its what I will be getting in the future.

the X3 ist my first SUV after some E92.
the seat position and the dimensions are new for me.

the 3.0d makes fun. this engine pushes the X3 very well from very low speed motor.

What interior combination did you pick? Must be an important trip to drag you away from new car!

The staggered wheel setup on the Euro Diesel looks sweet. Looks like all season tires too. Nice.

My 20D VR M-sport is at the dealer!! Now I just have to wait for the 2 months demo period before I can get it. Made a deal to get the car faster.. Normally I would have to wait till December.

I can confirm that the rocker switch for sport/normal is there even though I did NOT get the VDC. I am sure this is because of the VSS.

Some photos from my cell. Titanium grill will be mounted at the dealer.

Looks great, tetten.

I like the black grille, personally I would not go titanium.

I would like to thank everyone for posting the awesome pictures of the X3 M Sport. A special thanks to "Santa69" for posting the Space Gray! I ordered the Space Gray with out seeing one other than on the BMW website. They are all beautiful, however; I am partial to the Space Gray. Thanks again !

+1
Curious as to why this isn't an option for US buyers. This is slowly becoming a deal breaker for me on whether or not to go M-Sport or just sport package with the 309's.

Had my pics posted on another thread but forgot to post on the official M Sport thread =P... here you guys go =D.

This is my X3 35i M Sport with Carbon Black and Red Brown Interior leather with aluminum trim and aluminum rails.

The Red Brown does not look THAT red physically =P.

X3 M-Sport vs. X5 M-Sport

Wanted to take some shots of both my babies together (to show their boyfriends when they get older). Love the similarities and differences of the X3 and X5 (both with M Sport)... Also figured a nice contrast between the black and white would be interesting (Paul McCarney and Stevie Wonder eat your hearts out).

strange, my dealer told me the aluminium roof rail is black that comes with M sport, he said I cant change to silver.

On another note, I ordered Carbon black, I keep thinking Sapphire Black because my mom likes full black, hopefully the blue is not that exposed.

The rails can be changed to aluminum colour with the M Sport Package.

As well, the blue for carbon black is very subtle. It is only under very bright conditions that you can see a very deep blue hue. Personally I really like this colour.
