Wow its a beauty!!
At last got the new baby today. What can I say but wow. Great ride and love the SB colour (after months of sleepless nights over the choice!). One problem. Tried to connect my iphone4 using the STD iPhone USB cable. Umm not being recognised. The dealer said it should work. Guess it doesn't. Any advice??

Rcluff is probably a marketeer and just wants to tease us a bit.
Just wait and see. It'll be the greatest photo shoot ever seen on the forum!

I wish. Didn't want to look a sad b******* by someone seeing me take a photo! Will have to find somewhere discreet but will satisfy your desire over the weekend. ).

Re. iPhone, if you're just trying to pair it to make calls and sync contacts you just need to use Bluetooth. It doesn't need a USB connection, other than for charging. If you want to make use of the car's aerial, you'll need a iphone 4 snap in cradle (£70) which will boost the signal and charge and has a physical audio connection rather than streaming audio via Bluetooth

Safx. Thanks. Managed to get Bluetooth working. Not that loud but ok. Want to play music from iPhone. Supposed to be able to view album covers. According to brochure and option chosen.

I had the same dilemma! If I saw someone taking pictures of their new car I would have though the same 4 months ago. Now, I would think, poor b*****d's been forced to do it by a forum!

Correct. Are you connecting the phone via USB? If so, hit the CD button and then select multimedia. You should see your phone there. If not, you may have a bad cable. The dealership will replace it for you. These cables are pretty cheap and are often worthless.

Do you not even "see" it in the car when its connected via the USB in the arm rest under external devices? Does the iPhone show the charging icon when connected? Have you checked other USB devices to see if they are "seen" under external devices? Sorry if these are noddy questions! I don't have any music on my iPhone 3G but my iPod nano works OK via a standard USB and shows album covers too. Also, if you adjust the volume during a call, it is "remembered" for next time. Maybe yours is too low.

Normal iPhone cable works fine for me when connected to the USB port in the arm rest. Music, album art, charging. Does nothing for phone calls, though. Needs bluetooth or the cradle for that (and then you get the antenna boost, as mentioned above).

Re album art, I swear I got album art when playing music over the bluetooth connection during my first drive. Since then I haven't. I figure I'm just remembering wrong since so many things were new at the time, but I can't shake the memory of being surprised to see the album art. Do y'all get album art when playing music from an iPhone over bluetooth?
