One last question about the timing chain

How to I verify my 2013 X3 is covered by the extended 7 year/70k mile warranty?

Edit, I went to bmw-rp.com and it lists:

Turbo Oil Feed line
Leak Diagnostics Module
Coolant Thermostat
Timing Chain and Oil pump

That means those are covered on my 2013 with 34k miles until the year 2020 and or 70k miles?

I stopped in at BMW today. They verified my car is covered until 2020 or 70k miles for the timing chain and 120k miles/10 years for everything else.

I assume this is unique to the US?

The bmw-rp.com website is US specific and it's purpose is to help people get reimbursed for repairs they paid for out of pocket that BMW has a program to cover. It just happens to let you enter your VIN and then provides you with a list of the items that would be covered for your vehicle.

As far as the items Riick showed I think you would need to talk to BMW or a dealer in the UK to see if BMW has offered extended protection for those or any other items for your specific vehicle.
