I've exhausted all avenues that I could come up with short of trial and error efforts which I'm not going to do. Good luck and keep us posted as to what you come up with...

I've found a local garage that can do this, they told me that they need to do some wiring directly to the gearbox...I really don't wanna do this because the car is still under warranty.

After a while using paddles becomes tiring, and in my view an overrated addition. I have them on my X3 xDrive 30d M Sport and to be honest the car knows better and reacts faster than any human intervention.

Going back down memory lane - but shows you some of the wiring that had to be done in the past on the e38. May offer some guidance.

I use the paddles frequently in my Z4, but have only manual shifted the X once when I got it. Can't say there is any appeal on the performance side to me.

Hello, did anyone succeed in retrofitting the paddle shifters in F25?
I do not know how to check if wiring is necessary (from wheel cluster way back to the gearbox)..
Also, did anyone succeeded with 2TB option, or which option worked in F25?

Thanks in advance!

Still has no one done this retrofit to a F25 X3 35i? It sure would be helpful to hear from someone that's actually done this instead of guessing as to what to do...

I just so happened across this post today but have not read all of the details but on the face of it, it sounds promising. See post 8 there's a PDF.

Weird I cannot see the PDF in the app but do see it when using a browser?
