I love your car and I see that you have plenty of snow around. I'm planning to order my X3 3.0D just because of similar weather conditions here in Latvia during Winter. Could you clarify just how good the car behaves in snow? I plan to go to my house on that, which is outside the city, and thus there's not much chance of seeing roads cleared of snow. Will X3 do well for that, or should I think about getting other car?

Thanks in advnace!

Congrats! I'm seriously thinking about leasing a new x3, cant decide if I want an m-sport or not. On one hand, its sexy, on the other, I would be afraid to do any light off-roading...

Lovely pictures. The car looks great.

When you order chestnut leather, does it cover the back of the front seats or is it still the black colored lining?

Really nice photographs. I am myself a photographer. I see from your metadata that you're using a Sony DSC-R1, really nice shots. I'm impressed.

I can't wait for mine to arrive...TUESDAY. I didn't get the 19" wheels. Are they any good over small-medium sized bumps?

Enjoy!!!

You're kidding no heated seats? Not even with the executive package upgrade? I have heated seats in my 335xi coupe, you think it would be standard in all BMW's SUVs.

Love the look though, great pics. I'm starting to finally like the X3, was never really a big fan before. I would have got the Audi Q5 or Acura RDX over the X3 previously. I'd have to reconsider that now.

No rear heated seats. The front seats heat quite well. . Although for the life of me I don't understand why rear heated seats are an option in the US but not in Canada.

Haven't taken the no-spare thing into much consideration. I rarely travel more than 2 hours out of my city, so I figure calling for help won't much of a problem. You can buy the tire sealant kit that comes with M cars just in case.

It does just fine! Having the proper tires is the most important issue.

It's the typical black plastic. I've noticed some cost cutting in this car...

Exactly my point. An option for those in the states, but not in Canada...the logic doesn't make sense.

Paddle shift is an option with the M Sport option. More than likely heated rear seats will be added soon as well.

This is the curse of buying a first model year or early production. All the stuff isn't added yet, which is why we will be waiting for a few years or until the LCI.

The LCI should get rid of the crappy black rear bumper section, but M Sport would do that for me too. I don't think I would want to lose the anthracite headliner I have now, so the extra $2000 would be worth it.

M sport will also dump the X-Line package without having to pay the $1000 special order cost to delete it, so really the M Sport package will cost $100o here in Canada if you look at it like that.

Beautiful looking car though! Congrats.

Did you have the Pirelli tires put on the factory 19" rims that came with the car? Or did you buy another set of 19" rims (factory or aftermarket)?

I'd like to buy another set of 309's for winter but fear the cost may be prohibitive.

Why does it look so different than any shots other of the new X3? The stance, size, stout.....etc? I have gone the BMWusa and built one but it still looks like an oversized legacy. How does yours look like a baby X5?

No x-line on his X3 so the aluminum trim is deleted from the window surround, front and rear bumper, and no roof rails.

Beautiful ride, as everyone's said! I've got the exact same colour combo on my E93...

A few questions:

1 - X line delete, I assume it was just for esthetics reasons you got rid of it? Is it really a $1000 to delete it??? It comes part of the Premium package on the X35.

The one reason I was considering deleting it is if I wanted to add a hitch later on, you'd have to cut out the rear lower valence, which I'm guessing would be this satin plastic.

2 - Which colour wood is that? Wave brown? Looks nice. I'm thinking of getting that instead of aluminum.

3 - Sport package - Did you ride in a non sport package X3? Curious how the regular seats compare to the sport ones. The regular ones seemed to have decent side support...

4 - Do you mind sharing what discount, if any, you got from MSRP, and if you had a trade, and how happy you were with the $ they gave you for it? Just wondering if they gave you a great trade, with nothing off MSRP, for example.

Looks great!

I really like the X-Line delete. I prefer the X1 with the X-Line but the X3 looks much better without it IMO.
