I had a loaner x3 for two weeks with Oyster. It looks nice when clean, but I found that it easily gets dirty and it also took on some of the blue from my jeans.

I have Oyster with Carbon Black Metallic - fabulous combination! YES, any light interior will require more care. Depending on your occupation (I'm usually driving in relatively nice clothes) and level of fastidiousness (I wash/ clean my car weekly), determines you chances of keeping oyster always looking nice. I received the car in early February... with NO PROBLEMS.

It has been easy to maintain and looks great; I would choose oyster interior again!

I'm with many of the people here - easy to look after. I would have absolutely no hesitation in choosing the Oyster interior again. It just simply looks so much more classy than the boring black. All it takes is a wipe down probably about 1-2 weekly and we regularly have dogs in the car. I will say however that yes it does mark easier than the lighter-colour leathers we have had in our Volvos. Always keep a box of moist wipes in the glovebox for any accidents (but have always done that).

I have oyster with mineral silver exterior. Nice combination.
I dont take special care of the oyster leather, apart from a quick weekly cleaning, and it looks good. Have 6000km. My previous car had black leather seats, and that was more difficult because dust shows up very fast on the black surface. |

What kinds of cleaners have you guys been using with it? I figured after a while I would get some leatherique and just use that every few months, but other than blue-jeans I'm pretty clean and not too worried. I had Ivory leather in my 03 Range Rover and it started to wear a bit after ~75k miles, but nothing terrible.

Hi, I have Oyster Leatherette/Cloth combination and I use an interior cleaning foam from Berner (Ref. 5014 168979) for cleaning everything, from dash to seats. It is very easy to use, just spray it wait for 2mins or so and wipe it clean with a clean wet cloth. They also have a foam just for cleaning seats which also have antibacterial characteristics.
I never had the problem of jeans transfering color to the seat. |

Love Oyster Leather especially with the blue and gray colors BUT it will stain especially with dark jeans. If you only wear light color cotton pants, you'll be fine.

I have not gotten color stain from blue jeans, but I have gotten a dark black stain on the side of the seats from the seatbelts. But it goes away with soapy water + leather conditioner

One benefit, if that's the right word, of the Oyster is that the contrasting stitching is dark and doesn't show the muck. I would have thought that the light contrasting stitching on the dark leathers might get grubby in time. |

I have the oyster as well it is a year old. Love it. I wash my car once a week and take a damp towel and just wipe it down. The oyster doesn't get any dirtyer than the darker colors because you can not see it, but it gets dirty. Probably gets dirty because you never wipe it off because you don't think it gets dirty. I am like earlier comments it does look richer.

Well it's only been a whole month with it but it's easy to keep clean so far. Cleaned and conditioned it on the first day and since then just perfect
