Web radio

I live in Sweden and have ordered a X3 2.0d M-sport with Nav pro and all the internet options including BMW apps. As I understand I canīt use Pandora internet radio which is included in BMW apps. Is it possible to use the internet browser to listen to other web radio stations, and with dvdinmotion, when driving? Or are there other web radio possibilities with BMW apps?

If web radio will work, I might exclude the DAB option. Anyway, DAB radio is not transmitted in my area at the moment, and donīt know if it ever will. Maybe web radio has made the DAB redundant (and too expensive), even if the audio quality is much better with DAB.

If you have a good 3G mobile connection you can just use something like FStream on an iPhone (free) and stream the audio to iDrive using Bluetooth. Works well but only if you have good 3G connectivity. Also no control from iDrive, only from phone.

BMW Apps may get better with time with more apps that allow you to listen to internet radio

Yes, for now, only US can use Pandora. So I hope BMW will offer any other option for web radio for Europe.
