Wheel size question

Hello,

I have a 2013 X3 28i with factory wheels. Can I put the size 19x9, 38mm offset on it?

I went with stock F80 wheels. 19x9 ET29 (I think) at the front. they fit well.

The wheels I am looking at are also some BMW wheels. They are BMW
19" Style 734 V-Spoke.

What BMW are they off of? Just because its a BMW wheel doesn’t mean it will fit. Plus there are more wheel specs to consider besides width/circumference/offset…you also have wheel center bore/hub size as well as wheel bolt pattern.

BMW keeps changing things around so you need to reveal or know what the specs for your BMW is as well as the wheels from the other BMW.

I get that. They are off an X5. The bolt pattern is the same. The 19x9 with a 38mm offset. That's all I know about them.

What generation X5 are they off of? The e53 & G05 X5 has a different hub sizes vs the e70 & f15 generation and some of the X5M iterations (72.56mm or 74.1mm or 66.6mm). And the G05 X5 has a different wheel bolt pattern (5x112mm) versus the 5x120mm bolt pattern of the previous generations.

If you know the wheel's specs and the correct tire size you'll need to mount them on your X3...then run your exisiting wheel/tire combo and the new wheel/tire combo through this calculator and you'll see how much poke or inset you'll have with the new vs the old (compare one axle at a time with old vs new): www.willtheyfit.com

You can see some of the differences & similarities in the chart below. I stopped updating this chart when BMW came out with the new 5x112 wheel bolt pattern and 66.6mm hub. It wasn’t worth the trouble with the new wheel specs.

They were off the G05 X5. So they will not work. Thanks for the advice. I found a similar wheel style on eBay with the same specs as my current wheelset. Thanks again.
