F25 Retrofit SAT gear shifter done !
Hello,
I have done today retrofit in an SAT gear shifter for my F25 2012. Anyone knows if I need to code 2TB, all is working great but I want to know if I need this code to get something more with this gear shift. Thanks in advance ! Below goes some pics showing before and after the retrofit ! Here goes a thread that I read and decided to do this: http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=878002 Last edited by Carlos Hermida; 05-27-2017 at 12:33 AM.. |

This is purely cosmetic.... You can code 2TB if you want to turn your X3 into a racecar.

There is something wrong if this is the reason to have the new one!

Was the actual physical retrofit rather straightforward? I was having some intermittent issues where the transmission would spontaneously drop out of gear while driving and my research is pointing to the shifter unit (I have the sport transmission). When I took the car to my indy shop and the dealer, they found no record or faults that would be related to it so I let it go and took to Google. Found the part number and was ready to push the button but I haven't run into the problem again so decided to wait before dropping the $800+ on it.

Very strange but it may be, in my case so far I have had no problem and just made the exchange for having achieved the piece at a very low cost and only for aesthetic reasons. Good luck solving your problem! |
