Whooshing sound when unlocking doors

Does anyone’s F25 make a whooshing sound when unlocking the doors? Dealer says its either the fuel pump or air compressor for the suspension. I’m not aware of the F25 having an air suspension.

For background my F25 is fully loaded with the Dynamic Handling Package.

Yep, must be normal, mine does it all the time and sometimes at random times. Kids say it sounds like a spaceship "whooshing" away.

Other bimmers do it too. I think the dealer is wrong on both guesses.

I believe your dealer is right on the fuel pump. It's a pre-priming cycle that happens as the car prepares to be started.

Yes I have it, and I was told it was the fuel pump pre-priming as well.

And here I thought my X3 was holding its breath until I came back.

I'm driving an F10 535i loaner and I hear no whooshing sound even though it has the same engine as my F25. I'm almost positive it's the suspension as I have the DHP on my F25 but not on the loaner.

2011 3 series loaner I had did it as well, but it was a slightly different noise than the X3.

I have been told it was the fuel pump as well. Not by a dealer though. By a friend who works at BMW.

I have the sound on my 335, not sure why the 535 doesn't do it.

It is definately a different sound that my previous E9x's and different than the X5... much louder and "wooshier". My dog thinks it is posessed. It will also make this same sound when it enters sleep mode.
