Tailgate Joy is 4.5

To operate the tailgate in my garage without impacting on the ceiling I have to set the tailgate height to 4. But 4 is too low for normal outside use. Any way to recalibrate so that I can set somewhere in-between?

Its so expensive to change things in BMW that it may be better to alter your garage

Joke apart, BMW gives only few limited set positions and you got to live with them. One can if really serious can get it changed though re-coding which is not yet available every where due to expensive set up.

Its one of the things that annoyed me when I first went to set up the auto tailgate. As it turns out, I'm fortunate - position 5 just stops about 25mm (1") from the garage ceiling beams. But yes in position 4, you can't walk under the tailgate. To have 5 equally spaced openings is just plain stupid. Plain simple logic would surely dictate that the 5 positions should be weighted toward the fully open position. I'm hoping BMW might address this in a future software update (I'm assuming its just a software issue).
